Christopher Hurley

Chris started CPH & Associates, LLC in 2009 after having spent the previous few years at Indymac Bank and Indymac Federal Bank.  At the bank, Chris was a business unit CFO in the Secondary Marketing group.  In addition, Chris was a key adviser to the corporate CFO on issues involving technical accounting, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting.

Prior to joining Indymac, Chris was a Senior Manager in the Consumer Finance Group at a Big 4 accounting firm.  He worked extensively for major U.S. financial institutions in areas including accounting policies, project management / implementation, financial reporting, and SOX controls.  Chris also acted as a specialist for audit clients, assisting teams in such difficult areas as derivatives and hedge accounting (FAS 133), loans (FAS 65, FAS 91), and debt securities (FAS 115, EITF 99-20).  Prior to working at Big 4, Chris worked at consulting firms focused on providing IT solutions mainly for financial services companies.  Chris performed as technical leads for projects including a mark to market system, online payment processing system, and institutional order management for a large Nasdaq market maker.

Chris received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Management Systems from Princeton University in 1999.  He enjoys reading, traveling, and various sports including soccer, football, skiing, and golf.
